UCS is the name for Cisco Intel based servers. Cisco UCS (Unified Computing System) Servers come in 1U, 2U, 4U, and Blade servers. All the Cisco units in the M4 and M5 generation are either 2 or 4 processor socket servers. The UCS family of servers come in the UCS C-Series and the UCS B-series. The C-Series are the 1U, 2U, 4U rackmountable servers and the B-Series are Cisco’s Blade server line. The Cisco UCS series of servers has a model for every type of application from big data analytics, virtualization, graphics-rich and bare-metal applications, SAP workloads, Database applications and data warehousing, Large virtualized environments, Real-time financial applications, Java-based workloads, and Server consolidation.
