The HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen9 server is an impressive 1U, two-socket server designed to deliver reliable, powerful performance for general purpose computing needs. Administrators are given the opportunity to scale their operations to meet the ever-increasing demands through its expansive memory and I/O expandability. This highly efficient system has been designed to offer enhanced performance with Xeon E5-2600 v3 and v4 processors and HPE DDR4 Smart Memory for up to 14% increase in performance. Additionally, the HPE DL360 Gen9 server supports virtualization, data base, and high-performance computing while reducing energy consumption and improving reliability.
The DL360 Gen9 server supports up to 24 DDR4 SmartMemory DIMM slots with a maximum of 1.5TB of memory when configured with two processors. This memory offers a significant increase in throughput as well as energy efficiency when compared to previous generations. Memory speeds range up to 2400GHz when utilizing E5-2600 v4 processors and 2133GHz with E5-2600 v3 processors. However, it should be noted that memory speeds are dependent on the processor and will default to the slowest component.
The system allows for several storage configurations, with the potential addition of NVMe Express Bay impacting maximum storage capacity. SFF and LFF SAS, SATA SSDs, or HDDs are all supported, along with a range of storage controllers like the Smart Array P440. Maximum internal storage capacity is achieved with 10 3.84 TB hot-plug SATA SSDs for a total of 38.4 TB of storage, with all configurations allowing for hot-swap hard drives.
